Release Negative and
Limiting Beliefs
A common block to financial abundance is having negative beliefs about money or about
your worthiness to receive money. A lot of people say that they want to be wealthy, but they unconsciously associate negative
beliefs about money to having financial abundance. Perhaps they think that it's not spiritual to have money, or that rich
people are selfish and shallow, or that people achieve wealth at the expense of their marriages or of their health, or that it's too much
responsibility to have a lot of money.

Ask yourself: "If I only had empowering beliefs about money and about myself, what would my life look like?
What would I be doing?"
|
It doesn't matter how much you may consciously want to achieve wealth, you won't be
able to do so unless you let go of the negative beliefs that are currently standing in your way. In the words of Yogi Berra: "What gets us in
trouble is not what we don't know. It's what we know for sure that just ain't so."
Some negative beliefs about money, or about your worthiness to receive money, are the following:
- If I’m financially successful, I won’t know how to handle the money.
- You have to be born with money to be wealthy.
- Money is the root of all evil.
- People won’t like me if I’m wealthy.
- My friends and family will reject me if I’m wealthy.
- If I’m rich, someone else will have to be poor.
- Spiritual people don’t care about money.
- You have to work too hard to be wealthy.
- In order to be wealthy you have to work all the time and sacrifice your health, your family, and your leisure
activities.
- Financial success isn't worth the price.
- You need money to make money.
- In order to be wealthy you have to lie, cheat, and steal.
- Wealthy people are selfish and shallow and don’t care about others.
- I’m a failure.
- I’ll never amount to anything.
- I’ll never be successful.
- I can’t get what I want.
- I’m never sure if I’m doing things in the right way.
- I’m not smart enough to be wealthy.
- I don’t deserve to be happy or successful.
- I need to be rescued.
- I’m not disciplined enough to be wealthy.
There are many techniques that will help you release negative feelings and beliefs
about money. Two of the best techniques are The Sedona Method and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Many people
have had tremendous success with both of these methods. They can help you erase your memory's hard drive so that your
past programming doesn't continue to create your present and future reality.
Once you've released negative feelings about money or your worthiness to receive money, you need to replace those negative beliefs
with new, positive beliefs. Repeating affirmations is one way to do this. Become a collector of
positive beliefs about money and about your ability to attract, create, multiply and keep money. Some of these positive beliefs could be
the following:
- I create my life.
- I am responsible for everything that happens to me.
- Money is a representation of spiritual energy. You can be both spiritual and
wealthy.
- “Wealth” is a frame of mind, it has nothing to do with how much money you have
in the bank.
- If you have an abundance mentality you will attract money into your life,
regardless of how much money you start out with.
- Being wealthy will allow me to have more leisure time and to do more of the
things that I enjoy.
- If I put my money to work for me I will have more time to spend with my
family.
- Wealthy people enjoy life.
- Rich people are generous benefactors.
- I love, respect, care for and appreciate money.
- Money provides opportunities for growth.
- Money goes to people who love and take care of it.
- It’s Ok for me to be a Millionaire.
- There is more than enough for all.
- Becoming a savvy investor is easier than you think.
- I have the ability to acquire, protect, and multiply
wealth.
- People who are rich are not smarter or more talented than I am, they simply have
a different belief system. I can adopt their belief system.
- We live in a universe of infinite abundance, where there is more than enough for all.
Negative beliefs repel abundance; even if you're creating value for others and otherwise doing everything right, when abundance
tries to flow toward you it's pushed away by your negative beliefs. Creating a positive belief system about money and
about yourself and your ability to attract money will make the "stop signs" surrounding you disappear and allow abundance to flow into your
life.
