  • In order to be rich you have to work all the time and sacrifice your health, your family, and your leisure activities.

  • In order to be wealthy you have to lie, cheat, and steal.

  • I can’t get what I want.

  • I’m not smart enough to be rich.

  • Getting rich is too difficult.

  • Poverty is righteous.

Once you accept that everything is made up of a “formless stuff” that is all around you, that this formless stuff wants you to live your life to your fullest potential, and that the supply of this formless stuff will never run out, you can start to develop an abundance mentality.  People with an abundance mentality have beliefs such as the following:

  • I can attract wealth into my life, regardless of how much money I start out with.

  • This is a rich universe and there is plenty for all of us.

  • There is abundance all around me.

  • I create my life.

  • I can have anything I want.

  • There is limitless supply.

  • Abundance is my birthright.

  • I have the ability to recognize wealth building opportunities and act on them.

  • The more money you have, the more good you can do for others.

  • When I become wealthy I’ll serve as an example for others to become wealthy as well.

In addition, Mr. Wattles further explains in “The Science of Getting Rich” that the formless supply is at the command of any man or woman who will act and think in “a certain way”.  That is, the original substance is being shaped by each one of us.
